COVID Update July 1st - 2020

Doxa Church Family,

As COVID restrictions continue, we believe that the best way to serve our church body is to start the transition back into Sunday services beginning on July 12th. In conjunction with the most recent regulations for churches, we will be limiting the number of people in each service. We will continue to social distance and require masks (see point 4 below for details) as recommended by the California Department of Public Health and the Governor's office. We will start the transition by returning to two services, one at 9 am, and one at 11 am. We know that with limited seating, we will not be able to have our entire church return on Sundays; in light of this, we will continue to make online services our primary means of providing worship and teaching. Below are details on how we plan to move forward.

1. Registration will be required for both the 9 am and the 11 am service on Sundays. The sign up will become available Thursday's at noon on the Doxa website and App for the upcoming weekend services. There will be a limited number of spots available, so we recommend signing up quickly. If both of our services fill up to maximum capacity for the three remaining weekends in July, we will start the process of adding another service to accommodate more people. If you are in a high-risk group or not feeling well, we kindly ask that you continue worshiping online at home.

2. There will be no Kids Discipleship offered at this time. All are welcome in the worship center, although we recommend that if you don't feel confident your kids can sit or be held for the duration of the service, please consider continuing to worship at home.

3. Our primary means of worship will continue to be online. We will be transitioning to a livestream format that will be available starting at 9 am each Sunday. You can join us live or watch at your convenience, the service video will be available to view at any time after 9am on our website, app, social media, and on youtube.

4. In compliance with the California Department of Public Health's guidance for face coverings, we will require masks to be worn by all (with the exceptions outlined here) as you enter or exit the building. Once you are in your seat and properly social distanced from those not in your family, you may remove your mask for the worship service. If you are unable to wear a mask, we will check your temperature before you enter the worship center. If your temperature is over 100.4 we will ask that you worship from home for the safety of our church family.

Thank you for your continued patience as we navigate these interesting times as a church. We praise God that no matter the circumstances he is still at work advancing his kingdom throughout the world. To Him be the glory.
