Topic: Holiday Messages Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:15–21

3 new things Jesus wanted to give you so bad he rose from death to do it
1. A new start
and he died for all, that those who live might not longer live for themselves, but for Him who for their sake died and was raised. 16 From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
If you’ll turn your life over or recommit your life to Jesus Christ today, he’ll change absolutely everything about you. He'll make you a new creation complete with:
A new birth (John 3:3)
A new heart (Ez 36:26)
A new spirit (Ez 11:9)
A new inner man (Eph 2:15; Col 3:10)
A new life (Romans 6:4).

When God says the old is gone, he really means it. He says he’ll remove your sin as far as the east is from the west (Ps 103:12) and bury them in the deepest sea and remember them no more (Mic 7:19).

2. A New Savior
18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

3. A New Status
Guilty to innocent
Sinful to righteous
Dirty to cleansed
Old to new
Death to life
Darkness to light
Enemy to friend
Child of wrath to child of God.
How? Here’s how: 21 For our sake he (God) made him to be sin who knew no sinso that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
