Mark 15:6-47
1 Cor 1:18, “For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”
BIG IDEA: The message of the cross is the power of God unto salvation
1. Folly sees a deserving death/Power sees an innocent substitute
2. Folly sees a man to be mocked/Power sees the Christ who is King
3. Folly sees a powerless poser/Power sees a saving sacrifice
4. Folly sees a crucified criminal/Power sees the Son of God
The message of the cross is the power of God unto salvation
