The Gospel of the Glory of God

2 Corinthians 4:4-6

 1) The problem of blindness to glory

a. Who is blinded?

b. What is blinded?

c. What are we blinded from?

2) God uses proclaimers to open the eyes of the blind

Acts 26:17b-18 God tells Paul “I’m sending you to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.

a. Proclaiming Christ

b. Portraying a life captivated by glory

3) God alone can open the eyes of the blind

  1. Divine illumination-he qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints (Col 1:12), he granted you repentance (2 Tim 2:25), it’s because of him you are in Christ Jesus (1 Cor 1:30)...Let the one boasts boast in the Lord!

We have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us (2 Cor 4:7).
