1. The Savior who came to die (v. 1-11)

2. The King of the world (v. 12-22)

In being everything God promised, Jesus was: 

-       The one who came in the name of the Lord

-       The King of Israel

-       A righteous ruler

-       Bringing salvation

-       Humble

In being the opposite of what the people thought they wanted, Jesus: 

-       Did not deliver Israel from political oppression

-       Suffered and died a criminal’s death on a cross

-       Was not only Israel’s King but also the King of the world

3. The One worthy of serving with your life

Jesus’ two extraordinary promises for all who serve Jesus:

-       You will be with Jesus

-       The Father will honor you
