A pastor’s charge to the rich

Pitfalls to avoid:
1. A prideful attitude-
Inclined towards:
a. towards flaunting it
b. towards thinking you had something to do with it- Deuteronomy 8:18 You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth...
c. a sense of superiority-

2. A misplaced hope- Proverbs 11:28 ‘whoever trusts in his riches will fall.’

Priorities to engage in-
1. Do lots of good-
2. Share generously-

According to Nonprofit Source 2018:
1. Tithers only make up 10-25% of any congregation.
2. On average, Christians give 2.5% of their income to churches.
3. Of families that make $75k, only 1% donated 1/10 of their income.
