Groups at Doxa
At Doxa, we believe that disciples of Christ are called to walk with Him and alongside one another. That’s why we encourage everyone who calls Doxa home to join a group, our primary environment for discipleship in community.
Pre-requisite for Groups: Attend Intro to Doxa
We currently offer 3 types of groups:
Small Groups
Small Groups are our primary means of discipleship here at Doxa. They are multi-generational, ongoing groups that are spaces for the "One Another commands" of the New Testament to be lived out. They typically gather 2-3 weeknights per month for about two hours in homes throughout Placer, Sacramento, and Yuba Counties. Small Group gatherings usually reflect on the previous weekend’s sermon using discussion questions and prompts to connect biblical truth to everyday life. Meetings may also include singing, prayer, shared meals, local outreach, and equipping resources to help believers grow in ministry (Ephesians 4:12-16).

Micro Groups
Micro Groups are short-term groups that are meant to enhance discipleship in community. They can be multigenerational or gender specific, and are smaller in size than a typical Small Group. Their nature allows for more intensive discipleship and relational depth. Some topics covered include anxiety, specific book studies, books of the Bible, and marriage.

Care Groups
These small communities, Marriage Groups and Freedom Groups, are for short-term group counseling and care. The goal of these groups is to foster mutual support, prayer, and encouragement, reminding members they're not alone in their faith journey. They meet on Monday nights from 6:30 to 8:30 PM in the Spring and Fall.

Become a Group Leader
Groups are the main form of discipleship here at Doxa, and you can have a direct, godly impact on your brothers and sisters in Christ by becoming a group leader. There are many options for leadership: Small Group leadership, Micro Group leadership, hosting a group, and more. Submit your interest and request more information using the button below.
