What to Wear
At Doxa, we focus on the heart more than the outward appearance. When you come to one of our weekend services, you will find people dressed in a wide variety of styles from as casual as jeans or shorts, to as formal as suits and dresses. Most people, however, dress casual.
We do ask that people wear clothing that does not draw attention to themselves. We think that what you wear to church should not detract from the worship experience of others around you. We want all of the attention to go to Jesus Christ.
The Doxa App
The Doxa App is an integral tool for us at Doxa. Please download it to your smartphone or tablet before you arrive. On the app, you will find information about how to connect at Doxa, resources, and the connection card. You will also be able to access Sermon notes and a playlist of the worship songs.
Parking
We have first-time visitor parking spaces available for you at the front of our building. When you enter the parking lot, please flash your headlights at the parking attendant and they will direct you to a prime spot right at the front!
We have one entrance and three exits in our parking lot; the entrance is on Placer Corporate Drive, and the exits are on Placer Corporate Drive (2) and on Industrial (1) if you are turning right.
Connect Room
In our lobby, we have a connection center where you can meet some of our members and grab a first-time visitor bag that will have more information about our church and help you get connected. To get a more comprehensive look at what we are all about at Doxa watch our "Intro To Doxa" video here.
Children’s Discipleship
If you have kids ages 0-6th grade you can check them into Doxa Kids. Your kids will experience the love of Christ through caring volunteers, a safe environment in which to play and learn, and age-appropriate classroom activities designed to point them to the gospel. New families check-in is straight ahead (and slightly to the right) when you walk in the front doors. A helpful volunteer will be ready to help you check in your children and guide you to their classrooms.
Student’s Discipleship
If you have a middle or high school-aged student please bring them with you to the main service. If you are interested in our mid-week Doxa Students program you can learn more here.
Order of Service
Generally speaking, our service begins with worship, led by a band. Most people stand during this time, however, there is complete freedom to be seated if you prefer. The words of all of the songs are projected onto screens at the front. Our hope is that you'll hear songs you know or can relate to, even if you haven't been to church in years.
Like most churches, we take an offering in our service. If you are a guest, please do not feel obligated to participate in the offering. This is intended for our regular attendees who consider Doxa their church home.
We regularly take communion and encourage weekly attenders to only take communion if you are a Christian.
Doxa provides practical Bible messages that help you deal with real-life issues. What you learn on the weekend, you'll be able to use during the week.
We hope you find your church home here at Doxa! If you have any additional questions please feel free to email info@doxa.church.
