VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS 

  • All volunteers age 18 and older are required to complete an online state-mandated Child Abuse Training and a Live Scan background check. These MUST be complete by June 5th to serve at Kids Camp. 
  • If you are not a current volunteer at Doxa Church, you will be asked to fill out a volunteer application and complete the items listed above. 

 

VOLUNTEER DISCOUNTS

We offer a discount for our volunteer’s children. There will also be a mini-camp for volunteer children ONLY, ages 0-3. There is a small fee for this camp. Volunteers must sign up first, and a link will be sent to their email for the discount and access to the mini-camp. 

  • You must serve the entire week to receive the discount. 

 

YOUTH VOLUNTEERS 

Youth Volunteers MUST be 13 years or older at the time of camp to serve. 

*If a youth has graduated from DoxaKids but is NOT age 13 by the time of camp, they can attend camp one more time!  

Youth volunteers will NOT receive the camp discount or access to the mini-camp for siblings. 

 

WHAT GRADE DO I REGISTER MY CHILD FOR?

Please register your child by the grade they will be entering for the 2024-2025 school year.

 

FRIEND REQUEST

Please fill out requests in the designated area on the registration form. We will do our best to honor these requests. If you would like to add this later, please email dk@doxa.church.

PARTIAL PARTICIPATION

If your child can only attend a few days of camp, we would still love to have them. However, there is no discount for attending part of the week.

 

SCHOLARSHIP

You may donate to the scholarship fund by selecting “Kids Camp” in giving categories OR note Kids Camp in the check memo area.

If you need financial assistance, please email dk@doxa.church, and we will be happy to talk to you about available options. 

 

REFUNDS/CANCELLATIONS 

Should you need to cancel your registration, you may choose to get a full refund or donate it to the scholarship fund. Please email dk@doxa.church for a refund or to donate to the scholarship fund. 

 

MISTAKE ON REGISTRATION

If you find a mistake in your registration, please email dk@doxa.church, and we will be happy to fix it for you. Do not register again, as this will charge you a second time.

 

SPECIAL NEEDS

If your child has special needs and requires accommodations to participate, we would love to have them join us! Please get in touch with Michaella Hayes at mhayes@doxa.church to discuss your child’s individual needs.

 

PHOTOGRAPHS 

  • Our Doxa media team will be taking pictures during the week. If you do NOT want your camper(s) in any photos/videos, please email dk@doxa.church
  • Camper(s) whose parent/guardian has requested no media will receive a green bracelet at check-in each morning. 

 

ALLERGIES/EPI-PENS 

  • Please list all allergies on the registration form. Campers with allergies will receive a red bracelet at check-in each morning. 
  • If your child has an epi-pen, please give it to their classroom/tent leader. Our qualified First Aid team will be notified if there is a need to administer. 
  • If your child has food allergies, please bring an alternative snack labeled with their name and give it directly to their leader upon arrival. 

 

CAMPER PICK UP

Someone else may pick up your child only if they have the correct security card. If you lose your security card, please let us know, and we will give you a new one. Parents will pick up their child AFTER the closing rally and after all campers are back at their tents. You will NOT be allowed into the tent area until all campers are in their tents. 

 

WHAT TO WEAR - CAMPERS

    • Children must wear their Doxa Kids Camp shirts every day for security purposes. Children will receive their shirts on the first day of camp or the Sunday before camp at Doxa. 
    • Please have your child wear water-friendly shorts and shoes. 
    • Close-toed shoes are required for go-karts.
    • Swimsuits may be worn under the camp shirts, however shorts and tops must be on campers during the non-water play time. 

 

WHAT TO WEAR - VOLUNTEERS

    • Volunteer camp shirts must be worn daily. 
    • The camp shirt should not be altered (cropped, cut, etc.)
    • Shorts are to be a modest length.
    • Comfortable, closed-toed shoes are recommended.

 

DAY OF CAMP

      • Please arrive 15 minutes early for check-in.
      • Take your child to the restroom before check-in.
      • Volunteers and children must wear their Doxa Kids Camp shirts daily for security. Children will receive their shirts on the first day of camp or the Sunday before camp at Doxa. 
      • Please have your child wear water-friendly shorts and shoes.
      • Close-toed shoes are required for go-karts.
        • To pick up your child after camp, you must present your security code to your child’s leader and sign them out on the clipboard provided.
        • Snacks will be provided, and the week's menu will be posted at the registration table and emailed out the week before camp. Please list any food allergies on the registration form, and if needed, pack an alternative snack for your child labeled with their name. 
        • Please do not bring any toys or electronic devices to camp.
        • Don’t forget to put sunscreen on your child before dropping them off! Volunteers are not allowed to apply sunscreen to any camper.  

ACTIVITIES 

      • Waterplay will be daily for 2nd-6th grade campers; if you choose to send a towel with your camper, please clearly label it with their name. 
      • Go-karts will be offered daily for 2nd- 6th-grade campers. Campers MUST wear close-toed shoes to drive the go-karts. 
      • Toddlers-1st Grade will have a water day on Friday only. Please send them with a towel clearly labeled with their name and appropriate swimwear under their camp shirt.
